Nurse Educator Lab™

Elevating How We Teach. Empowering How They Learn.

At Nurse Educator Lab™, we believe the missing piece in nursing education is emotional intelligence, and it's not a "soft skill” it's a clinical competency.

Whether you're trying to engage your students, preparing for the NCLEX while battling self-doubt, or finding your way back from burnout, developing your emotional intelligence as a clinical skill changes everything.

I built this space for nurses who know that great nursing requires both technical excellence and human connection. From teaching strategies to personal resilience, everything here helps you develop the EI skills that make you a better nurse, educator, and leader.

Because emotional intelligence isn't extra—it's essential.

The Vision

Whether you're guiding the next generation or preparing to become it, you're developing the clinical skills that matter most.

Let's learn, grow, and leadtogether.

Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m Dana — MSN, RN, CEN, CNEcl.
A nurse educator, former ER nurse, and lifelong learner with a heart for human-centered teaching and meaningful mentorship.

After 15+ years in emergency nursing and education, I created the Nurse Educator Lab™ to reimagine how we prepare and support the next generation of nurses—not just with content, but with confidence, compassion, and emotional intelligence.

Here, you’ll find practical resources, fresh ideas, and soul-centered strategies that bridge clinical excellence with emotional intelligence—because great nurses aren’t just trained, they’re nurtured, seen, and empowered to lead from day one.

The Non-Boring Bio: 5 Things to Know About Dana

  1. I believe in soul-centered education. My teaching philosophy is simple: students learn best when they feel seen, safe, and supported. I create learning spaces where curiosity, humanity, and connection come first.

  2. The ER shaped how I teach. Over 15 years in emergency nursing and nursing education have taught me to think fast, communicate clearly, and lead with calm under pressure. Now I bring that same clarity and adaptability into every classroom and learning moment.

  3. I’m currently earning my DNP in Educational Leadership.
Because change in nursing education doesn’t just happen—it’s built by leaders who care enough to challenge the old rules and imagine something better.

  4. Emotional intelligence became part of my story.
My own healing work led me down a path of self-discovery, nervous system regulation, and emotional growth. Now I teach from that place where personal transformation and professional leadership meet.

  5. There’s nothing like a real learning moment.
That shift in posture, that spark of clarity, that “wait, I actually get this” moment? I live for that. It’s what keeps me teaching.
